A rare project. A remarkable home.
We were invited to capture the story of a home with over a century of history, a place reimagined with care and purpose. Originally built for one of New Zealand’s most prominent families, the house has been thoughtfully rebuilt from the ground up, retaining original native timbers and materials alongside modern structural upgrades.
As the project unfolded, it became clear this was about more than architecture. It was a way of carrying forward the spirit of the original home while shaping it for modern family life. Our role was to reflect that continuity by shaping a visual narrative through the spaces, the materials, and the connection to its past and future.
